EUED survey results and call for leaders
Over 200 people responded to the recent EUED survey consultation the direction of the new EUED Centre. The next step is now announced with a call for theme and challenge leaders.
The findings from the survey have been summarised by EUED Champion Professor Nick Eyre (pictured) and are available on the Oxford University Environmental Change Institute website.
The next step in the process of putting the new EUED Centre proposal together is a Call for Expressions of Interest in Leadership roles. Professor Eyre is looking to identify leaders of three themes entitled ‘Digital Society’, ‘Flexibility’ and ‘Transport and Mobility’. There is also a call for a challenge leader on ‘Decarbonisation of Heat’. Other challenges will be identified by consultation process at a later date with only this one being identified in the intial bid.
Other themes include ‘Buildings and Comfort’, ‘Materials and Products’ and ‘Governance and Policy’ and have been allocated leaders via a process agreed with RCUK.

Please note that the closing date for receipt of applications is mid-day on 31st August 2017 due to the very tight schedule needed to get the new Centre up and running by spring 2018.
